Signifying the council opportunity to become one of the most powerful economic factor globally
In light of GCC event hosted by AbuDhabi ,Asharqia Chamber Chairman Abdulrahman bin Rashed Al Rashed expressing his hope that the Gulf summit held today and tomorrow in its 31 session of the GCC Supreme Council to comes with resolutions to connect through the application of the procedures and steps of economic integration among the GCC countries , and issue a decision regard the monetary union, which we hope to be activated on at the earliest possible opportunity.
Al Rashid also said "We as a private sector and businessmen, and a citizens before that all hope and aspire a further unity steps unity, specifically on the economic side, as it opens up new opportunities to work alongside producers to benefit from the advantages offered by economic integration among nations.
Moreover, he referred to the Council leaders whom highlighted the way of forward economic integration based on the Economic Unity Agreement, which identified the forms of this integration through the establishment of a free trade area, customs union, and Gulf common market.
He noted that the statute of the GCC in its 4th term has been stated that the Council was established in order to achieve coordination, integration and interdependence between the six GCC countries in all fields, to the overall unity.
Above all, AlRashed called to promote the most successful unitary project in the Arab nation in present time, by tackling the administrative obstacles in the implementation of unity projects, and we look forward to accomplish what is left of it, especially on the economic side, which is the most significant base of growth and development in the modern era.
